hahahs nadia hasnt updated in quite awhile.
tomorrow is the opening night of emdd 2006, collabo btwn sji and kc.
well, a lot of people have been commenting about the show already despite having NEVER seen it. and even though im not performing, i guess i've been through quite a substantial part of it with the cast and some of the other people involved, and i really must say that it's amazing watching it. it really makes me think back to the days of Indelible Ink (emdd 2004). seeing sherrie wear pavi's dress.. hahahs. yeah, really made me remember the days when "anthony" would punch me and how mr j choreographed the whole punching thing and noorlinah cracking up and saying i fight like a girl. and wakerman and natasha and wyreden squeaking and squeaking and gissy as aunty huay and all. yeah. especially the seniors. matilda, cheryl, aliya, juliana as part of the choir and mel, gwen, natasha and ruilin dancing, and of course pavi, shangz, niki, bhav, kam, dazzlyn, even SABRINA miss never-button-collar.. wow. we really came together. this year they have amazing costumes, put this years costumes plus indelible ink's spirit and passion, and you will get an amazing performance.
still, i can vaguely remember those precious moments the night before the show when we all return home tired and a bit nervous. marika and i were just saying how sad it is this year, that during curtain call, the people involved cant turn to each other and heartily hug or clap each other on the back and say congratulations and REALLY mean it. the ts* can be quitee... about the whole collabo thing, so hey, dont complain about the spirit being low if no interaction or well, the barest minimum is allowed in the first place. for old emdds, everyone worked hard, kc really came together. the curtain calls were all heartfelt.
this year is different. but just because it's different, it doesnt make it any less special. so to all SJI guys and of course darling KCians, be you the little choir girls or first time malay dancer or a modern dancer taking on a new style, do your best and make KC proud. i'll be running around backstage. (as usual)
